Flash Ahhh

For nearly five years, I’ve been immersed in capturing the lively vibe of nightlife, evolving from photography to hybrid (photo/videography. Recently, I decided to give flash photography a shot, aiming for those funky light trail photos that bring a nightclub to life.

Enter my learning curve with a vintage Cobra Flashgun from the 1980s, generously loaned by my father-in-law. Fully manual and a bit of a shock to my system, but the challenge was exciting.

Currently, I’m rocking this classic flash on my Sony A7C, teamed up with a converter for a modern twist. Paired with my trusty 1979 Pentacon 28mm f/2.8 lens, the combo not only works like a charm but also adds a cool vintage vibe to my nighttime shots.
